HOUSE OF TWO URNS BED AND BREAKFAST The Chicago Bed and Breakfast in Wicker Park where friends and family love to stay! |

Wicker Park and it's neighboring areas of Bucktown, East Village, West Town and Logan Square are all vibrant, diverse North or Northwest side neighborhoods. Wicker Park, known for its unique cutting-edge boutiques, the Renegade and Do-Division summer festivals and excellent dining - especially outdoors on the first warm day in Chicago everyone scrambles out to sit in one of the open tables on Division Street. A great place to just walk or sit and watch the rest of the world walk by you as you nosh on great vegetarian fare at "Mana Food Bar" to meaty "Smoke Daddy's BBQ" with a messy stack of ribs and sweet potato fries. The walk down this dining district of Division is just 18 minutes start to end from House of Two Urns - perfect for the hungry traveler. Just a block away is the Chopin Theatre with an ever changing schedule of music, dance, films, and theatre. Just a couple of doors away is one of the last and best Polish diners (Podhalanka), written up in National Geographic Traveler, it's like walking into a Polish Grandmother's house with homemade pierogi, stuffed cabbage and our favorite: cabbage soup. Wicker Park was originally settled by Germans and Scandinavians and some of the Beer Baron mansions are still around just west of the actual Wicker Park, which has very active garden club and is lovingly landscaped and maintained by the community. North of the intersection of Damen/North and Milwaukee stretches into Bucktown and Damen is the main shopping street with more great dress shops and dining haunts. We recommend checking out Wikitravel for some great tips on dining, nightlife about Wicker Park. |
