We are 1.5 blocks from the Division stop on the Blue Line subway, three bus lines and the local 24/7 cab stand - all near the "Polish Triangle". By car we are the 3rd street west of the Kennedy (I-90/94) expressway's Division Street (49a) exit. It is so easy to get around from our location - CTA bus ride to Millennium Park on #56 bus and loop is 18 min.; 4 minutes via subway; 15 minutes to the Gold Coast and North Michigan Avenue shops via the Division Street #70 bus. If you wish to walk downtown, it is a 50 min. walk to the Art Institute of Chicago. We sell CTA visitor passes here (cash only). We highly recommend taking the Blue line subway ($2.50) from O'Hare airport, but there is a shuttle bus (about $22) or cab service ($45+ depending on traffic jams) that can get you here, too - allow 1 hour door-to-door via public transit from either airport. We do not recommend renting a car. City parking lots and meters are VERY expensive ($25-35 each lot) and it is cheaper to take a cab to and from (about $10-12 to downtown) than to pay for parking on top of your rental car fees. Most guests with rental cars are so frazzled by the congestion and traffic from the airport to downtown that they park the rental car for the rest of their stay with us. It is really cheaper to take an alternative option from the airports. We do offer free parking for guests who are driving their own cars into the city.
Get off at the Milwaukee/Division Blue line stop and look for the tall highrise and the City Sports store - walk between these two buildings and you will be headed east on Division. One block east is Greenview at Division, a sushi restaurant, "Sea Dog", is on the corner, turn left and walk up 1/2 block - on right (east) side of street is House of Two Urns, 1239 N. Greenview. Ring intercom or call button at right side of right front door. |
