Location From Downtown
Located just 2.5 miles NW from the center of downtown Chicago (The Loop) and 2 miles W of North Michigan Avenue, we are 1.5 blocks from the Division/Milwaukee stop on the Blue Line Subway, the #9 Ashland and # 56 Milwaukee buses; 1/2 block north of the #70 Division Street bus or 3 blocks south of the #72 North Avenue bus.   We are 3 blocks west of the Kennedy I90/I94 Expressway at exit 49A - Division Street and then 1/2 block north (a right turn) on Greenview Avenue. Via car or cab we are just 10 minutes from the Loop or Michigan Avenue (about $8 taxi cost); 4 minutes via the Blue Line subway.

Please note that we highly recommend taking public transit or cabs while visiting the city.  You can even get to places like Ravinia and Oak Park to the Frank Lloyd Wright area via CTA or Metra trains. Parking downtown is very expensive $16-25 for lot parking with no in/out.    Valet parking runs $9-12 per restaurant and if this is added onto a rental car cost, it is really much cheaper and easier to let a cab driver escort you around town if public buses and subway trains are not your cup of tea.  Public transit is very convenient from our location to places like:

Newberry Library, Loop, Millennium Park, Grant Park, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art, University of Illinois at Chicago, Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, DePaul University, Sears Tower, John Hancock Observatory, Museum Campus, Wrigley Field, US Cellular Field, Soldier Field, American Girl Place, et al.

If you are driving your own car or  on renting one, we offer off-street or garage parking (depending on the unit you rent) although we still recommend that you park and explore the city via public transit.  We sell CTA Visitor Passes here in 1,2,3 and 5 day denominations and 7 day passes are available at a Currency Exchange a few blocks from the inn.

Location From McCormick Place

We are 6 miles NW from McCormick Place; approx. 15 minutes via car or cab with cabfare running approximately $12-14.

Location From Hyde Park

We are 10 NW miles from Hyde Park, the University of Chicago or the Museum of Science and Industry.  There is free parking on the east side of the MSI in Jackson Park.  We recommend taking the #6X, the Jackson Park bus Express bus from State Street, in the loop to the MSI.

Location From Airports

We are 15 miles SE from O'Hare International airport and a cab ride will run between 35 minutes to 1 1/4 hour depending on traffic and will cost approximately $40. Be sure to give the cab driver our address and tell him:  "Near Milwaukee, Division and Ashland in Wicker Park."

We are 10 miles from Midway airport, cab fare should run around $25 and take approx. 20 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Be sure to give the cab driver our address and tell him: "Near Milwaukee, Division and Ashland in Wicker Park."

DOOR-TO-DOOR VAN SERVICE IS NOW AVAILABLE FROM AIRPORTS!!
A "door-to-door" Airport Express van service is now available near the baggage claims. Rates for 1 person are $22(O'Hare) and $20(Midway) and are less per person if more than one of you are travelling to the same address, however, a taxicab is just as reasonable for 2 or more traveling together.   If you plan on using this service.   More information at: 1-888-2-THE-VAN or www.airportexpress.com.

Parking
Limited off-street parking is free and garage parking is available in some of our Superb units - please let us know if you plan on having a vehicle while you are in town.  We do not recommend you renting a car unless you are heading out of the city. There is also a local Enterprise rental company north of us on Milwaukee avenue, so you can also rent locally.

On street parking is difficult and available on the blocks north of us.  A city parking lot is also available just north of Division and accessible from Bosworth Avenue is $0.25/hour and is monitored 24 hours/day.  Parking on our block is by permit only and the police are diligent about ticketing all hours of the day and patrol on bike so they are quick about it.  Please double park in front of the inn and put on your blinkers to check in to avoid being ticketed.  It is okay to do this for a few minutes.
