Passes are also available for purchase at both airports or Union Station, but are not found in regular CTA train stations. At subway stations you can purchase a "debit" card that is good for up to 7 people to use at one time and can be replenished when the money runs out at any subway station and are good for all CTA trains and buses. The rates are higher $2.25-$2.50 per use) with the use of these debit cards.   We highly recommend purchasing one of the Visitor Passes as they are an excellent way to travel for less.

MUSEUMS
All museums offer free admission at least part of the year, they have gotten pretty sneaky about when they offer these days, so you should best check each museum's website for these ever-changing practices.

You may also check into a discounted pass for 6 major museums/attractions at www.citypass.net where you can pre-purchase a pass for participating organizations.  These are also available for purchase at the door of any participating organizations and are valid for 9 days from the date of first use.

Half-price theatre tickets are available through HotTix on the day of the show at 2 sites downtown at the Chicago Cultural Center or the WaterTower Visitor's Center.
1-900-225-2225 for a list of the shows.
1/312/977-1755 for hours and locations of HotTix Centers.

BREAKFAST SELECTIONS
Your mother was right not to skip breakfast, especially when residing at the Two Urns.  A hearty full breakfast buffet is served between 7 am and 10:00 am daily by reservation only.  We offer a daily "Blue Plate Special" that consists of a specialty french toast, pancake, or egg dish.   See some of our ever-changing, delicious choices below:

Blue Plate Specials include:

French Toast a la Morrie - our signature french toast combines raisin bread with almonds and fresh bananas to recreate a dish inspired by Morrie Warshawski, a midwest writer and poet.  Oooh la la!

Blueberry Pancakes with Blueberry Honey Butter - piled-high pancakes smothered in a delicious homemade blueberry syrup is a great way to start any day in the Windy City

Feta Spinach Quiche with Portobello Sausage - Chicken and portobello sausage is a savory accompaniment to Kapra's greek-style quiche, just one of the many quiche combos you might be treated to while at the bed and breakfast.

Oh, Boy! Waffles - fresh and crisp powdered with sugar and topped with real maple syrup or maybe Kapra will treat you to her special Banana Honey Butter and Walnuts to top these waffles.

Cheddar Broccoli Frittata, Spinach Feta Frittata, or Scrambled Eggs Florentine all delicious ways to start a day of busy shopping on the Magnificent Mile.

Raspberry Stuffed French Toast - Whole grain bread, homemade raspberry jam straight from our Wicker Park garden, a touch of mint and smothered in hot maple syrup.

Apple Pandora slices golden apples with a sweet lemon butter on top of sourdough french toast, inspired by "Mama's" in San Francisco's North Beach area this is pure heaven on a crisp Chicago morning.

Banana Bread with Strawberry Compote and Mascarpone -  a special dish served on Mother's Day 2006 this home baked cinnamon laced banana bread is covered with an orange strawberry compote and a creamy dollop of mascarpone cheese. Yumm!

Spanish Torta  pairs potatoes, rosemary and onions in a delicious egg dish with Castillian roots.

Kapra's Apricot Crepes are yummy french-style crepes filled with cream cheese and homemade apricot jam for a not-too sweet morning delight.

In addition, you may choose from any of the buffet items which include dry cereals, Kapra's homemade granola with dates and pumpkin seeds, yogurt, cream cheese, instant oatmeal, hearty whole-grain bread, english muffins, bagels home-baked muffins or scones, coffee/ tea and orange juice.  Decaf coffee is made on request only.
